Cloud Applications Operations Engineer (AWS)Sutherland is seeking an experienced Cloud AppOps Engineer to support and operate large-scale SaaS applications on AWS. This role focuses on application operations, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and support cloud-based applications on AWS.- Manage application deployments, changes, patches, and rollbacks.- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using scripting tools.- Troubleshoot complex applicationand performance issues.- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions.- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on production environments.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in Cloud AppOps, DevOps, or Application Operations.- B2 or higher English communication skills.- Strong hands-on experience supporting multi-tier applications.- Solid knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, VPC).- Experience with automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Shell, etc.).- Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, application, and infrastructure layers.- Database and middleware knowledge (SQL/Oracle/Postgres, Tomcat/WebLogic).- Experience with monitoring/APM tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Nagios).- Linux/Shell command-line expertise.Nice to Have- Containerized environments and cloud security experience.- Experience in financial or regulated environments.- Agile/Scrum experience.This is a hybrid position in Usaquén, Bogotá, Colombia.
